ARTIST STATEMENT

Exploring the concepts of Life, Death and the Spiritual, my works aim to capture the intangibility of my subjects through explicit use of my mediums that produce haunting, often sombre, yet ethereal imagery. From religion, to the idea of life after death, my works aim to capture the essence of the subject matter. Using traditional mediums to conventional mediums such as oil paint to the soot produced by smoke, the medium speaks of the ephemerality of the subject, fragility of life itself and the spirituality it encompasses.
